Planning the Retirement You Have Worked For

You know when you want to retire. You may envision what you would like your retirement to look like. At Kindred Wealth Partners, we can help you discover the right way to bring it all into focus. Our financial experts will help guide you to a solution that meets your needs today and your anticipated needs for when you leave the career world behind.

Our comprehensive approach includes:

Step 1

We begin with a discovery meeting, where we listen as you describe your present financial situation, your thoughts on retirement timing, and your retirement and legacy creation goals.

Step 2

Using the information we've gathered, we create an initial draft of a comprehensive financial plan.  As part of this plan, we also create and analyze multiple "What if...?" scenarios, including stress testing the plan for various issues that may arise.

Step 3

Once we have created and reviewed the initial plan with you, we analyze how you are presently saving for retirement, including how much and in what type of accounts you are saving in, to help ensure the optimal saving strategy.

Step 4

Our review of your investment portfolio begins with a discussion of risk: your preferred level of risk, an estimate of the level of risk the current investment strategies represent, and any changes that we would suggest.  We then ensure that level of risk is tied to your financial plan, so that your plan, and specifically the scenario analyses and stress tests, accurately reflect the risks you are taking.

Step 5

Prior to retirement, we strategize with you to minimize the tax impact on your investments and income.  We think through strategies including Traditional vs. Roth IRAs, Roth conversions, Mega Roth strategies, early distributions from retirement savings plans, and forming tax-efficient withdrawal and social security strategies, amongst others.

Step 6

As a subset of your financial plan, we are able to help you construct a household budget, and to analyze cash flow both pre- and post-retirement.  Additionally, we monitor any investment portfolio changes necessary upon retirement, including restructuring to more income producing investments and helping to reflect the investment income generated in your personal cash flow budget.

Step 7

At a minimum, we review this financial plan with you annually, in order to reflect any changes within the plan, as well as to ensure that you remain on track for a successful and happy retirement.
